Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Maintenance: Inspect and maintain electrical components, including transformers, circuit breakers, and other equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues using testing devices and technical manuals.
  • Equipment Repair and Replacement: Repair and replace electrical wiring, fixtures, and other equipment as needed.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to the Canadian Electrical Code and local building regulations.
  • Tool Utilization: Use hand tools, power tools, and technical manuals to complete tasks.
  • New Equipment Installation: Install and align new industrial equipment using specialized tools.
  • Part Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace defective machine parts.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical problems using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Machinery Relocation: Move and set up machinery at different locations within the facility.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with engineers and other construction workers to ensure machinery is installed and functioning correctly.
Requirements
  • Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Certified Millwright and Electrician (Red Seal required).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician or Millwright in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Skills: Strong experience with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of both electrical and mechanical systems. Proficient in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Hands-on experience with motors, control systems, PLCs, and other electrical components. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to install and repair equipment, such as hydraulic systems, bearings, and conveyors. Strong understanding of safety procedures and best practices in both electrical and mechanical maintenance. Problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve issues quickly. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and attention to detail.
