Job Title: Lead Early Childhood Educator for Dynamic Childcare Team

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated early childhood educator to join our dynamic team at Jolly Giant Childcare Ltd. As a Lead Early Childhood Educator, you will play a key role in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist co-workers in maintaining a clean and organized childcare environment
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers while ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Engage children in various activities, including storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or supervisors
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Provide excellent care and attention to children while adhering to licensing regulations
  • Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Take children on outings to local points of interest, promoting exploration and learning

Requirements:

  • Certifications in Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR
  • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a childcare setting
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and standards for childcare services
  • Punctuality and reliability

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
