Overview

Paladin Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team at the Bay Adelaide Centre. As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the security operations at the site, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with policy, standing orders, and the rule of law.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach assigned staff to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Develop and implement performance management plans and individual development plans for direct reports.
  • Provide leadership to first responders and counsel senior management during security-related crises.
  • Assess incident criticality and impact, and take action to mitigate business impact.
  • Lead or assist with investigations of crimes and employee/tenant misconduct.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with public safety agencies.
  • Identify security awareness deficiencies and make recommendations.

Requirements

  • A Certificate in Law & Security or Police Foundation is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' security experience and/or 1 year supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience in dealing with outside emergency response agencies.
  • Previous law enforcement or high-profile security experience is preferred.
  • Ability to influence and lead under ordinary and crisis situations.
  • Excellent motivational skills.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Valid WSIB-approved First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in security.
  • Proficient in English (oral and written).
  • Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Ability to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
