About the Role

Gallagher Bassett is searching for a meticulous and experienced Senior Data Integration (ETL) Developer to join our talented team.

Your central responsibility as the Data Architect will be to develop, optimize, and oversee conceptual and logical data systems.

This individual initiates, evaluates, and influences projects from the entire organization's perspective.

  • Develop high-quality software using Python programming language.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest Python developments and best practices.
  • Design and implement effective and scalable solutions to store and retrieve organization data.
  • Responsible for the architecture, modeling, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the ETL, procedures, and structures which populate and grow our databases, data marts, and tables.
  • Provide direction to less experienced ETL developers on solution design and implementation.
About You

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • 7+ years' experience in building scalable enterprise data integration solutions;
  • 3+ years of experience as a Python Developer with a strong portfolio of projects;
  • In-depth understanding of the Python software development stacks, ecosystems, frameworks, and tools such as Numpy, Pandas, Pyarrow;
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git;
  • Proficiency with data integration tools such as SSIS and Azure Data Factory (ADF), in-depth hands-on experience with SQL, TSQL, and data formats such as XML and JSON;
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools;
  • In-depth understanding of data integration, data quality, and multi-dimensional design;
  • Proven experience with implementing data warehouse architecture standards, processes, and methodologies;
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities with problem-solving skills;
  • Able to hit the ground running with a can-do attitude;
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams;
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant field.
