Qualifications and Requirements

Island Health is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Electrical Specialist. The successful candidate will possess a Certificate of Apprenticeship and Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Electrician recognized by the Province of BC. A minimum of two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. A valid Class 5 BC Driver's license is also necessary.

Key Skills and Abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Organizational skills to manage work effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
  • Proficiency in operating related equipment.
