Job Description

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Labour Planning & Analytics to join our team. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the Enterprise Labour Strategy, which involves leading the annual store labour budget process, overseeing periodic labour planning and scheduling, and delivering impactful reporting, dashboards, and insights to guide organizational strategy and decision-making.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player who values partnerships built on trust and respect. They will have a strategic thinker with a solutions-oriented mindset and a drive for excellence, with a strong understanding of enterprise-level labour strategies. The candidate will also possess proven communication and influence skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement a comprehensive labour planning and scheduling strategy
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and other stakeholders to optimize labour spend
- Analyze and interpret data to inform labour-related decisions
- Develop and maintain effective reporting and dashboards to support business objectives
- Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of supervisory/management experience in retail, operations, or a similar field
- Strong understanding of enterprise-level labour strategies
- Proven communication and influence skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a dynamic environment
- Strong critical thinking, data interpretation, and financial modelling capabilities
- Expertise in Microsoft Suite, VBA/Macros, SQL, SAS, and Power BI
- Ability to navigate shifting priorities while maintaining focus on strategic objectives
