Environmental Services Supervisor

At Verve Senior Living, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Services Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our residential facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance or repair issues.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those related to fire safety and environmental health.
- Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with the Environmental Services Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures related to maintenance and environmental services.
- Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a maintenance or environmental services role.
- Background in electrical or mechanical trades an asset.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions in the English language.
- Able and willing to perform physical duties inside and outside the home when necessary.
- Must be able to move heavy objects and have the ability to co-operate with staff.
- Will be required to work weekends on a rotational schedule.
- Must be available for emergency call-in as needed.
