Social Services Professional

Job Summary
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in the field of child welfare and family services. As a social worker with the Yukon government, you will be responsible for providing support and services to children and families who may be at risk of abuse and/or neglect.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct investigations and assessments to determine the level of risk to children and families
- Provide preventative and support services to children and families in need
- Work collaboratively with First Nation governments and other stakeholders to ensure the well-being of children and families
- Develop and implement case plans to address the needs of children and families
- Provide after-hours on-call coverage as required
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of child welfare and family services, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
