We are seeking a highly skilled Cage Cashier to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our cash handling team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing cash transactions, and maintaining a safe and welcoming work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Handle cash transactions, including foreign currency exchange, traveler's cheques, short pays, over payments, cash counts, coins, and bills
- Monitor and report all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities
- Redeem value chips and gaming tickets for cash
- Sell racing tickets, vouchers, racing programs, and value chips as required
- Verify and process machine fills, machine jackpots, cancelled credits, table fills, and credits
- Issue opening floats to Slot Attendants (or others); reconcile closing floats
- Transfer and store floats, keys, and record-keeping documents
- Document and reconcile transactions; may reconcile bank deposits and prepare revenue reports
- Communicate effectively with all operational departments
- Build strong working relationships with guests and team members
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
- High School Diploma; post-secondary education an asset
- Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume cash handling
- Food Safety Certification
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication
Regular casino and cage environment, standing or sitting for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours
