We are seeking a skilled Content Editor to join our team at Neighbourhood Pub. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the suitability of material for publication, planning layout and format, and ensuring the accuracy of content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and select content for publication, ensuring it meets our quality standards
  • Plan and coordinate the layout and format of content, taking into account space and time allocations
  • Review and correct errors in spelling, grammar, and syntax, ensuring the highest level of accuracy
  • Plan and coordinate coverage of upcoming events, assigning work to team members as needed
  • Negotiate royalties with authors and initiate payments to freelance staff
  • Confer with authors, staff writers, and other stakeholders to discuss revisions to content
  • Plan and coordinate activities of staff, ensuring production deadlines are met
  • Write and prepare introductions, marketing materials, and other text as required
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Permanent position
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 hours of work per week
