About the Role

Societe Generale is seeking a skilled Trade Commodity Finance Portfolio Analyst to join our Global Banking Technology & Operations team. As a key member of our Trade Sustainability & Commodity Middle Office Department, you will play a critical role in providing collateral risk and credit risk monitoring services to our trade commodity finance Americas client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze collateral/financing activity to ensure compliance with credit agreement terms
  • Act as the primary interface between clients, the Front Office, and the Back Offices, ensuring seamless communication and coordination
  • Perform AML and Sanctions checks on all deals to mitigate risk
  • Reconcile activities and ensure accurate records match the bank booking system
  • Send activities to the Back office for updating the bank system
  • Perform covenants monitoring & analysis and past due follow up: borrowing base report, financial report, etc.
  • Hold regular meetings to discuss trends and analysis on client collateral reports and market events
  • Participate in closing meetings to review and comment on closing/legal documentation
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience in Middle Office or Back Office collateral monitoring
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical mindset, and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Good understanding of accounting concepts (Cash, AP, AR, Net, Inventory)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong Excel knowledge (ability to create formulas)
Language Skills

Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
