Aareal Homes Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining residential buildings and wooden structures.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for construction projects.
- Site Preparation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and prepare layouts in accordance with building codes.
- Construction and Installation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Project Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, survey building locations and levels, and instruct apprentices as needed.
- Supervision and Leadership: Supervise a team of 3-4 people and estimate costs and materials for projects.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the trade.
- Work Environment: Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments.
- Work Setting: Experience working in construction, renovation, and residential settings.
- Level of Expertise: Skilled in maintenance and repair, with a focus on carpentry.
