We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our Pricing Modelling function, you will be responsible for working on complex pricing models for our Canadian operations.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and client-focused team, working on a variety of projects that will utilize their analytical and creative skills. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development of new business and in-force quoting activities.
- Reviewing, reconciling, and communicating results to the pricing function and business development teams.
- Contributing to special quotes and internal pricing projects, such as the NBEV.
- Collaborating with other areas, including Research and Development, Assumption & Control, etc.
- Ensuring all important risks have been assessed and modelled, and that client information, terms, and transaction structure are properly understood.
- Participating in the review of work done by peers and providing technical support to other team members.
- Ensuring guidelines and best practices are applied, and that adequate risk measures and controls are in place to adhere to pricing standards.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics.
- At least 2 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance.
- Successful completion of at least four (4) exams from the Society of Actuaries or equivalent credits from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
- Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in AXIS software is an asset.
- Bilingual (spoken and written communication) French and English.
