Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Portfolio team as a Commercial Mortgage Underwriting Intern. The successful candidate will assist with the processing of sub-advances and ad-hoc requests, and will be trained on reviewing Quantity Surveyor reports to complete sub-advance worksheets.
Main Responsibilities- Assist with the processing of sub-advances and analyze and underwrite CFG commercial mortgage loans, ensuring compliance with established lending guidelines and procedures.
- Communicate with external and internal contacts to ensure mortgage loan transactions are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage deal flow and meet prescribed deadlines.
- Assist with various credit-related and administrative duties, such as reporting, pipeline management, and ad-hoc projects.
- Currently enrolled in a University or College program in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics.
- Demonstrated ability using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
