Job Summary:
Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in the Assembly, Test and Paint (ATP) department. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for providing quality workmanship on the assembly testing and painting of Company products while maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly and Testing: Assemble, stamp and test gate valve assemblies in accordance with work order requirements.
- Quality Control: Ensure assembly and testing meet work order requirements.
- Non-Conformance Identification: Identify non-conformances by separation and/or marking.
- Work Station Maintenance: Maintain work station and equipment to an acceptable Stream-Flo standard of cleanliness.
- Process Compliance: Follow work order and process traveller requirements and fill out job sheets or record time using ERP system.
- Reporting and Communication: Report all machine, crane and hoist problems in the proper maintenance logs and notify Maintenance Department and/or lead hand/supervisor of a down time situation.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with Stream-Flo Group Guiding Principles in terms of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental regulations or policies.
- Productivity and Efficiency: Maintain an acceptable level of productivity and efficiency.
- Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Work in conjunction with Industrial Engineering to achieve and maintain best practices.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties assigned by Lead Hand/Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Related Experience: Related assembly, testing and painting experience.
- Mechanical Assembly/Repair Experience: Mechanical assembly/repair experience.
- Forklift Experience: Forklift experience is an asset.
- Computer Skills: Computer skills are an asset.
- Knowledge of Equipment: Knowledge of Stream-Flo and/or competitors' equipment would be an asset.
- Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety: Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Detail-Oriented and Strong Work Ethic: Detail oriented, strong work ethic and good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to Work Independently and Multi-Task: Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
