About the Role

The Branch Manager II plays a pivotal role in leading the overall branch operations and team at DUCA Financial Services Credit Union Ltd., fostering a Member-centric focus and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coaching and Development - Provide ongoing coaching and training to the branch team, focusing on sales and advice skills, product knowledge, and relationship development.
  • Business Development - Identify external opportunities to grow business within the community, lead campaigns, and develop strategies to acquire new Members and expand the portfolio.
  • Performance Management - Manage the performance of all employees, including training, coaching, feedback, and performance reviews, ensuring the team is motivated and working collaboratively to achieve branch and individual objectives.
  • Team Leadership - Lead the branch team, overseeing all activities, and motivating team members to work collaboratively, always acting in the best interest of our Members.
  • Problem Resolution - Coach the team to resolve problems at the first point of contact and handle any escalated Member concerns.
  • Relationship Management - Lead the growth, deepening, and maintenance of relationships with our Members by providing holistic advice to help them meet their short- and long-term objectives.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Education - A degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Financial Services Experience - Minimum of four years of experience in financial services, including at least three years of people management and leadership.
  • Licenses and Certifications - A mutual funds license (IFIC) and any other relevant certifications.
  • Skills and Attributes - Excellent people management and leadership skills, strong relationship-management skills, strong problem-solving ability, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent business acumen and financial industry knowledge.
