Department Store Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Store Supervisor to join our team at Capilano Volkswagen Inc.
Job Summary:The Department Store Supervisor will be responsible for supervising staff, establishing work schedules, organizing and maintaining inventory, and conducting performance reviews. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff, including apprentices, stages hands, and design team members.
- Establish and manage work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
- Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving, storing, and issuing stock.
- Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure staff are meeting expectations.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for staff, including support for persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
Public transportation is available. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
