Accountabilities:
Develops, recommends, coordinates, and monitors administrative processes related to WSIB claims; administers WSIB claims including documentation review and verification of incident/accident reports and Form 7s; liaises with WSIB staff on relevant matters, and recommends challenges to benefit entitlement, where appropriate; liaises with legal counsel on WSIB appeals and represents the Corporation at appeals and hearings; compiles, maintains, and distributes departmental data/reports related to accidents/incidents, lost time and attendance management; maintains case files and associated documentation; audits and verifies WSIB cost statements, invoices, loss of earning calculations and takes appropriate corrective action; provides and/or coordinates training with respect to WSIB claims management, and accident/incident reporting and investigation procedures; participates in the development of individualized strategies related to claims; performs other duties as may be assigned.
