Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $38.15 - $45.95 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive total rewards program includes:

Job Description

As a Medical Lab Technologist at LifeLabs, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. You will contribute to patient well-being and achieve better health outcomes through accuracy, quality, efficiency, and expediting test results.

You will work in a fast-paced team environment, adhering to LifeLabs standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing
  • Preparing and processing samples, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation
  • Performing, interpreting, and releasing results while maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Identifying incidents and non-conformities, developing corrective action plans, and driving continuous improvement
  • Assisting with the evaluation and implementation of new technology
  • Participating in problem-solving in work organization and workflow
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent education and/or experience
  • CMLTO registration and good standing
  • Excellent communication skills to enable interaction with various people
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to distinguish multiple colors
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office products and laboratory analyzers
