Job Title: Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Home Hardware. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for estimating costs and preparing bids for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to create estimates and reports
  • Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms
  • Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accurate estimates
  • Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in commercial and/or industrial construction
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
