About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Technology Department in Victoria, BC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software products that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand product vision, needs, and issues
  • Develop and implement software solutions that meet industry standards and deliver maximum business value
  • Design and develop test strategies, automation frameworks, and write unit/functional tests
  • Identify and resolve production issues and drive product innovations
  • Apply knowledge of cloud concepts and platforms to develop cloud products and manage applicable systems
  • Present products to internal and external stakeholders and provide feedback
  • Deliver products in line with scheduled commitments and implementation plans
  • Proactively identify risks and issues and propose solutions
  • Apply knowledge of Agile methods and DevOps practices to improve delivery performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Up to 5+ years experience as Developer or Software Engineer with responsibility for design, development, testing, and production support
  • Experience with automation platforms such as Appian and/or PowerApps
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and databases
  • Experience with issue tracking, product development, and version control tools
  • Development experience using programming languages such as.Net, C#, Python, R, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3, XUnit, NUnit, XML, XSL, XSML, XSD
  • Experience supporting systems on a cloud computing platform and supporting 3rd party cloud systems
  • Professional certifications such as Appian Associate Developer / Senior Developer / Lead Developer, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified App Builder, or equivalent credentials
  • Experience with Agile methods and DevOps practices
  • Excellent customer-service, listening, communication, and problem-solving skills
