Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at AJ SAND AND GRAVEL. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our fleet of trucks, ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from our trucks, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery.
  • Operate and Maintain Vehicles: Operate and maintain our fleet of trucks, performing regular inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee Vehicle Condition: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of our vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
  • Perform Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the safety and security of our vehicles and cargo.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to our central dispatch team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Tarping and Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of our cargo by properly tarping and securing loads during transportation.
Requirements
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Driver Logbook: Maintain accurate and detailed records of your driving activities, including hours worked and miles driven.
  • Trip Reports: Submit regular trip reports to our dispatch team, detailing any issues or concerns encountered during transportation.
