Community Director

We are seeking a Community Director to join our team at VIVA Retirement Communities. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall management of our community, including six department managers reporting directly to you.
Key Responsibilities:- Community and financial management, working to continuously improve the community member experience and ongoing team member development and experience.
- Creating a positive, innovative, and inspirational environment where team members trust and respect each other and all stakeholders.
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the community, providing leadership and guidance to department managers, and ensuring a high level of engagement and team morale.
- Aligning the community with the company's vision and values, monitoring financial performance, and implementing corrective actions as required.
- Liaising with the VP of Marketing to establish and implement local and company-wide marketing campaigns, strategies, and programs.
- Working closely with Home Office to develop local quarterly and annual sales strategies and ensuring that agreed-upon plans are implemented and measured.
- Identifying and engaging in initiatives that build strong ties between community members, their families, and the local community.
- Monitoring the performance of all team members and using various methodologies to ensure performance and behavior align with the company's culture, performance, and job expectations.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role within the assisted living or retirement living or healthcare industry.
- Graduate of a post-secondary institution in a relevant field.
- Practical knowledge of human resources, financial management, project management, and facility operations.
- Operational experience in setting priorities, developing work schedules, monitoring progress, and reporting on details of the overall operation of the facility.
- Strong computer skills for job-related functions, including use of Excel, Word, and various job-related software programs.
- The ability to work in a busy environment with frequent interruptions and to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to manage stress and manage the stress of others.
