Job Title: Structural Engineer

At TEEMA, we are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Existing Buildings Service Area, you will play a crucial role in designing and analyzing building envelope systems and structural components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct structural analysis of building envelope systems and structural components
  • Evaluate existing buildings for support of secondary structures
  • Investigate and review structural warranties
Preconstruction Surveys:
  • Conduct field investigations and assembly testing
  • Prepare construction documents and drawings and specifications
  • Review material submittals and shop drawings
  • Conduct construction reviews to ensure conformance with contract documents
  • Prepare design calculations
  • Review structural work done by other engineers at the firm
  • Attend site meetings as required
  • Meet with strata owner groups and present at meetings
Building Science:
  • Provide technical advice to clients and project teams
  • Contribute to company knowledge management and practice systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Applied Science with a structural concentration
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience as a structural engineer
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligible for registration with EGBC
  • Experience in primary building structural design (wood frame, concrete, steel, masonry)
  • Strong understanding of structural modeling, analysis, and design
  • Able to instruct and lead others in structural design aspects
  • Technical knowledge in building science is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to develop and review designs, drawings, specifications, and technical memoranda

Salary/Rate Range: $105,000 – $120,000K + GRSP + Hybrid + excellent benefits
