Job Title: Network Solutions Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Solutions Architect to join our team at Targeted Talent. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient computer networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Design and Implementation: Design and implement efficient computer networks, including connections and cabling, to meet the needs of our organization.
  • Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose system glitches, troubleshoot network bottlenecks, and apply corrective actions to ensure minimal downtime.
  • LAN Infrastructure Management: Identify and rectify issues within the LAN infrastructure, from minor glitches to substantial bugs, to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Software and Hardware Configuration: Configure and test software, and undertake hardware repair and maintenance to ensure seamless network operations.
  • Network Performance Evaluation: Evaluate network performance, proactively seeking avenues for optimization to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Network Upgrades and Maintenance: Plan and execute network upgrades and maintenance operations to ensure our network remains up-to-date and secure.
  • Team Collaboration: Deliver comprehensive guidance and instructions to team members, and collaborate with peers to ensure unparalleled expertise and a commitment to quality.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: Possess 5 to 7 years of senior-level technical support, system administration, or equivalent client-facing experience in a fast-paced, technically demanding setting.
  • Cybersecurity Knowledge: Exhibit prowess in cybersecurity incident response and restoration, covering live response, containment, and remediation.
  • System and Network Rebuilding: Proficiency in system, network, and application rebuilding and restoration.
  • Technical Certifications: Familiarity with VMWare ESX/Hyper-V, Active Directory design and troubleshooting, and strong communication abilities to effectively address customer issues.
  • Networking Background: Robust networking background, encompassing skills in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP), DHCP, DNS, VPN, IPV4, and IPV6.
  • Network Switching: Proficiency in network switching, including L2 and L3 switch design incorporating VLANS and port security.
  • Enterprise Wireless Solutions: Experience with enterprise wireless solutions like Cisco, Aruba, FortiNet.
  • Firewalls: Familiarity with firewalls such as Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, CheckPoint, FortiNet PaloAlto, Cisco Meraki.
  • Network Traffic Analysis: Skill in network traffic analysis and capture.
  • Analytical and Organizational Skills: Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, enabling both independent and collaborative work.

Qualifications:

  • Network Technician Experience: Demonstrated experience as a network technician or in a similar role.
  • Diagnostic and Analytical Skills: Outstanding diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • LAN/WAN Knowledge: Sound understanding of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and Wi-Fi technologies.
  • Certifications: TIL version 3 Foundation or Practitioner Certification.
  • Education: Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Information Technology.
  • Preferred Certifications: Strong preference for Tier 1 vendor certifications like ACMA/ACMP and/or ACDA/ACDP.
  • Education (Preferred): BSc/BA in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
  • Technical Documentation: Proficiency in producing technical support documentation.
  • Technical Builds: Experience coordinating technical builds within specific domains (application, technical, integration, security, information).
  • Requirements Gathering: Skilled in gathering functional and non-functional requirements and translating them into technical infrastructure specifications.
  • Security Services: Expertise in leading solution design and implementation for security services, including access management, network security, email protection, endpoint security, and more.
  • Modern Data Center Environments: Familiarity with modern data center environments, private cloud architectures, SDWAN, routing, switching, firewall management, Citrix ADC, and VPN deployment.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with a talent for producing concise and effective technical written content.
