As a Clinical Mental Health Therapist at Halton Healthcare, you will be working in the Adult Outpatient Mental Health Program. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans for individuals with complex concurrent disorders (mental health and addiction).
Job RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must possess a Master's degree in Social Work from a recognized program. You should also be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers.
- You will need formal training and demonstrated knowledge in evidence-based treatment models such as motivational interviewing and interpersonal therapy.
- Three or more years of specialized clinical experience working with individuals living with a concurrent disorder and their families is required.
- CBT and DBT training are essential for this position.
The ideal candidate will have strong skills in group facilitation, individual and family counseling, clinical assessment, and treatment. You should also have knowledge of community resources in mental health and addiction treatment.
- Culturally competent service delivery is a requirement for this role.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills are necessary for success in this position.
As a Clinical Mental Health Therapist at Halton Healthcare, you will enjoy a competitive salary ranging from $44,664 to $57,900 per hour. We offer flexible hours, including evenings, and require one evening shift per week. Travel within the community and to other sites is required, so access to a vehicle is necessary.
