The successful candidate will provide operational support in a multi-skilled work environment, promoting public safety, environmental stewardship, and pipeline integrity.

In this role, the Mechanical Systems Technician will be responsible for ensuring maximum up-time availability of pipeline pumping equipment and components, as well as day-to-day safe remote operations of the pipeline.

The Mechanical Systems Technician will also provide operational and emergency response support to ensure public safety, environmental stewardship, and integrity compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance on facility motors, pumps, valves, mechanical seals, samplers, mixers, thermal relief valves, full flow relief valves, densitometers, flow meters, dock loading arms, and related mechanical equipment.
  • Analyze and interpret information from SCADA, HMI displays, and P&ID drawings to ensure safe operation of facilities.
  • Support emergency response initiatives and participate in training exercises.
  • Provide operational support for marine vessel mooring and release activities.
  • Assist other technical groups as needed, including maintenance and operations.
Requirements:
  • Journeyman Mechanical Technician certification or equivalent experience (7+ years) in an industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot rotating equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft D365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Welding and pipefitting experience, understanding of hydraulic systems, process control, and hydro test familiarity are valuable assets.
  • A team player with a positive attitude, maintaining a high regard for personal safety, company assets, and employees.
  • Availability for on-call rotation and overtime support.
  • Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision, prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously, and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle strict deadlines, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
