Responsibilities- Provide Comprehensive Patient Care: Utilize your expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of our residents are met.
- Lead Nursing Teams: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of care, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork within our nursing department.
- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
- Ensure Timely and Safe Transfers: Coordinate the transfer of patients between departments, ensuring a smooth and safe transition.
- Manage Medications and Supplies: Oversee the administration of medications, ensure proper storage and handling of supplies, and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the care process.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent.
- Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice.
- Clearances: Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Clear Criminal Record check.
