About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist to join our team at 1353168 B.C. LTD. as a key member of our fabrication and repair department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and execute welding process specifications to ensure high-quality fabrication and repair of metal parts and products.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and efficient fabrication and repair.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications to maintain quality and safety.
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to prepare metal for welding.
  • Determine weldability of materials to ensure safe and efficient welding processes.
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and working in a team setting.

Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy loads (more than 45 kg or 100 lbs).
