About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our Community Development Group in Red Deer, Alberta. As an Engineer-in-Training, you will provide general engineering support to our project management team and contribute to the design and review of sanitary, storm, and water networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the project management team with quantity take-offs and production of tender documents for site grading and site servicing.
  • Design and review sanitary, storm, and water networks using Civil 3D software.
  • Prepare drawings and figures as required using AutoCad software to support the team.
  • Communicate with team members from our planning and landscape architecture groups.
  • Contribute to project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, clients, and other various project stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of experience as an Engineer-in-Training.
  • Strong organizational skills and understanding of how to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of construction projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and BlueBeam.
  • A working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is an asset.
