- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Basic Life Support, Level C certification, and up to one year of recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Specialty certification for Operating Room, Post Anesthetic Recovery, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, and Psychiatry units, with up to two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- The ability to apply the nursing process effectively in a well-organized manner to the care of assigned patients.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Calm and composed in stressful and emergency situations.
