Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Family Practitioner to join our team at Island Health, specializing in Maternity and Pediatric Care. As a key member of our community health team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our Public Health Nurses and Medical Office staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, with a focus on maternity and pediatric care.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement holistic care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Participate in clinically related teaching and research initiatives to advance the field of family medicine.
  • Work closely with our obstetrical team at Victoria General Hospital to provide exceptional care to patients during pregnancy and childbirth.

Requirements:

  • MD or equivalent medical degree.
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in British Columbia.
  • Experience in family medicine, with a focus on maternity and pediatric care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
