The Good Samaritan Canada team is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our dedicated staff. As a patient care specialist, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to our residents.

Job Description:

This full-time position involves working in a fast-paced nursing home environment, where you will be responsible for supporting the daily living needs of patients. Your primary duties will include

  • Supplying and emptying bed pans
  • Serving meal trays and feeding patients
  • Weighing, lifting, turning, and positioning patients
  • Making beds and maintaining patients' rooms
  • Supervising patients' exercise routines
  • Maintaining inventory of supplies
  • Bathing, dressing, and grooming patients
  • Transporting patients between care facilities
  • Preparing patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas
  • Administering first aid in emergency situations

As a healthcare assistant with Good Samaritan Canada, you will have opportunities to develop your skills and gain valuable experience in patient care. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that each resident receives high-quality care tailored to their individual needs.

Requirements:

Benefits:

As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to your base pay, you may also be eligible for benefits such as health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
