Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Roughneck to join our team at Puglisevich Crews & Services Limited. As a key member of our drilling operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of roughnecks and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of drilling equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Drilling Operations Leadership: Lead a team of roughnecks in drilling operations, maintenance work on drilling equipment, and assist with working on shale shakers.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily/weekly maintenance routines, follow up on maintenance tasks, and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Team Management: Supervise and train roughnecks in cyber base operations, prepare and plan daily tasks, and verify that daily checklists are completed.
- Communication: Assist the Assistant Driller in daily tasks, including preparing and planning operations, and communicating with the team.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems related to drilling operations and equipment maintenance.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Experience: 0.5 years experience as a Lead Roughneck on 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible, 2 years experience as a Roughneck on 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible, and 2 years experience with AKER and MHWirth equipment.
- Skills: Structured and organized mindset, high level of integrity, analytical ability, good verbal and written communication skills in English, and ability to pass Physical, Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks.
This is a contract position with an estimated duration of 7 months. The successful candidate will be required to work on a 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible rig in offshore Newfoundland, Canada.
What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary range of $59,000 to $105,000 CAD per year, a benefits package, and the opportunity to work with a reputable company in the drilling industry.
