Job Summary

Canus Logistics Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operations
    • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
    • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
    • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs
  • Cargo Handling
    • Load and unload goods
    • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
    • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns
    • Pay and receive payments for goods
  • Logistics and Administration
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
    • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
