We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of residents' needs and develop, revise, and implement resident care profiles.
- Order, administer, and store medications and treatments in compliance with facility policies, pharmacy standards, and College of Nurses regulations.
- Adopt and enforce legislation related to the Residential Health Facilities Act and ensure compliance with mandates under the direction of the Director of Care.
- Manage the department in the absence of the Supervisor or Manager, including staffing, equipment maintenance, supply ordering, and receiving.
- Direct, assign, and evaluate the work of personal support attendants.
- Assist in the orientation of residents, families, and nursing staff.
- Document and investigate resident/staff incidents and complaints, and follow up with the Supervisor or Manager promptly.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong passion for working with seniors and experience in a seniors' living or long-term care environment. You should possess a Diploma in Practical Nursing and be currently registered as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Additionally, you should have comprehensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and availability to work a flexible schedule.
