Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Laxmi Convenience and Grocery Store. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Lead and motivate a team of sales associates, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively manage the workload of sales associates, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Hire and Train New Staff: Recruit, interview, and train new staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Authorize Payments and Manage Inventory: Oversee the processing of payments, manage inventory levels, and maintain accurate records of sales and stock levels.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and minimize overtime.
  • Organize and Maintain Store Operations: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained, with a focus on providing an excellent shopping experience for customers.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Outlook and other relevant software applications.
  • Transportation and Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, team player.
