Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Always Home Childcare Services Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare services to children aged 0-12 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Order supplies and equipment and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts and provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors and discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.

Requirements:

  • Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR.
  • Knowledge of Day Nurseries Act and licensing regulations.
  • Ability to establish guidelines for behavior and assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children.
