Job Title: Marketing and Communications Specialist

Booth University College is seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our External Relations department, you will be responsible for leading the execution of our marketing and communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective marketing and communication plans that align with our strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their communication and marketing requirements, and develop creative solutions to meet their needs.
  • Research, write, and edit engaging copy for various formats, including social media, website, newsletter, and press releases.
  • Create and maintain marketing and communications materials, including print and digital advertising, email marketing, and public relations.
  • Advise on crisis communications and provide media readiness training for staff and faculty as needed.
  • Maintain our website, liaise with outside vendors for upgrades and analytics, and ensure content is consistent and updated.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Satisfactory criminal record check.
  • Strong marketing and communications experience, with a minimum of three years in a similar role.
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Marketing or Creative Communications (equivalent experience will be considered).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofing skills, as well as strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced collaborative team and to lead on assigned projects.
Preferred Skills/Capabilities:
  • Graphic design experience.
  • Photography skills.
