We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Float team at Northumberland Hills Hospital. Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and compassion.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Competency in performing added nursing skills as required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple demands.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Physical ability to lift, pull, push, carry, reach, and support patients as needed.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, with repetitive bending and lifting.
- Previous experience in a medical/surgical unit.
- Ability to obtain a minimum of Coronary Care 1 within the first 6 months of employment.
