About the Role:

The Technical Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and execution of mechanical components and systems while ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical design and material handling applications, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing engineering teams.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company quality requirements.
  • Continuously improve engineering workflows, design standards, and documentation practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with at least 7 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design software, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, sheet metal, etc.).
  • Experience leading engineering teams, managing projects, and collaborating with cross-functional groups.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Knowledge, application, and adherence to technical and safety standards, industry best practices, and regulations in George A. Wright's field of business.
