Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician

OPENLANE/ADESA Canada is a leading wholesale vehicle auction and remarketing services company. We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Vancouver location.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced maintenance professional to perform routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the building interior and exterior, including janitorial duties and minor repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, cleaning, and replacement of defective or used parts
  • Ensure the maintenance of the lot and parking lots, including lawn and surrounding landscape maintenance
  • Monitor equipment and parts to identify current and future requirements and place orders
  • Conduct regular inspections and complete minor repairs to ensure equipment, electrical, plumbing, and heating are operational
  • Responsible for snow and ice removal from the lots and walkways, and monitor inventory levels and place orders
  • Other duties may include assisting the Lot team in loading vehicles into trailers and ensuring the lot is maintained properly
Requirements:
  • Previous maintenance experience required
  • Working knowledge of maintenance equipment
  • Ability to operate a loader and a skid steer
  • Self-starter with initiative and ability to work independently
  • Heavy lifting required
  • Criminal Record Check and Driver's Abstract completed and cleared by ADESA is mandatory
