We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RN/RPN) to join our team. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively to provide person-centered care to diverse populations. This includes promoting resident/client choices, individualized care plans, encouraging resident/client and family involvement in care decisions, and supporting continuity and consistency of care.
The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing theory and evidence-informed practice, and will be able to apply critical thinking skills, problem solve, and effectively resolve conflict situations. You will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, and be able to work independently and as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Key Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- One (1) year's recent, related gerontological nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Current Level 1 First Aid certificate
