Logistics Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Longueuil. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for allocating pick-ups and deliveries to different drivers, ensuring timely and efficient dispatch to maintain quality service.

Responsibilities:
  • Allocate pick-ups and deliveries to different drivers
  • Daily follow-up of all open files (reservations, customer follow-up requests, etc.)
  • Update customer files in the system
  • Prompt and efficient dispatch to ensure quality service is maintained
  • Planning and execution of outbound and inbound deliveries
  • Act as the main point of contact for drivers on the route
  • Communicate with drivers at defined intervals to manage service expectations and identify problems
  • Ensure tracking and traceability
  • Resolve and respond accordingly to calls from customers and customer service group
  • Monitor shipments
  • Work with operations team in a respectful manner
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years' professional experience in a related field, in dispatching for a transmission or distribution company
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Knowledge of AS400, SAP or TruckMate is an asset
  • Mechanical knowledge an asset
  • Customer service-oriented and outgoing
  • Organized and reliable
