Nurse - Harm Reduction Program

AVI Health and Community Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the SAFER Clinic in Victoria. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide participant-centered healthcare to individuals accessing our harm reduction program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide care and support to individuals with complex primary care health needs and active poly-substance use.
- Work collaboratively with the SAFER team to develop and maintain individualized care plans.
- Provide education, information, and referrals to participants to manage their health and navigate community supports.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and community building activities.
- Registered Nurse, Registered Psychiatric Nurse, or Licensed Practical Nurse registration with the BCCNM regulator.
- Minimum 1-5 years' full scope, outreach nursing experience working with people with high levels of poly-substance use and mental health challenges.
- Previous experience working in supervised consumption/overdose prevention services, safer supply, or other harm reduction programs.
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice principles and practices, including harm reduction, anti-racism, decolonization, and combating stigma related to drug use.
