The Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of BC is a professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence in sea kayaking guiding. With over 10,000 members and 500 active guides, we offer a range of certification levels and training programs to support the development of skilled guides.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Level 3 guide to lead a West Coast Expeditions trip in Kyuquot Sound. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in sea kayaking and guiding, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a group of paddlers on a 5-day West Coast Expeditions trip in Kyuquot Sound
- Provide expert guidance and instruction on sea kayaking techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all paddlers on the trip
- Communicate effectively with the group and provide clear instructions and guidance
Requirements:
- Level 3 certification with the SKGABC
- Extensive experience in sea kayaking and guiding
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
