Job Title: Plumbing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Specialist to join our team at J and K Heating Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in various locations. This includes reading blueprints, determining piping system requirements, and measuring, cutting, and bending pipes to required shape and size.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network, and waste and drainage systems
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Work setting: Various locations
  • Supervision: 3-4 people
  • Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Plumber Trade Certification
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling; Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Personal suitability: Accurate; Client focus; Efficient interpersonal skills; Judgement; Team player
  • Green job: Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes
