Kitchen Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Kitchen Helper to join our team at the Dirty Northern Public House. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes and equipment are sanitized and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, and utensils
  • Operate dishwashers and washing machines to ensure cleanliness and efficiency
  • Prepare and package food items for service
  • Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors
  • Handle and store cleaning products and supplies
  • Receive, unpack, and store food and supply deliveries
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash
  • Assist with food service, including plating and garnishing dishes
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods
  • Reliability and punctuality
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment with overtime required
  • Repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines
