Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payments to client accounts. The Financial Operations Associate - Payment Processing is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team that values collaboration and innovation.

About the Job

  • Apply incoming payments to the correct client accounts, ensuring seamless transactions and efficient use of resources.
  • Reconcile all payment applications daily to ensure accuracy and prevent any discrepancies.
  • Process Credit Card payments for our clients through various portals, maintaining high standards of security and confidentiality.
  • Distribute Banking Correspondence to relevant teams, including Cash Apps, Collections, and Accounting, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Research payments received without payment details, utilizing analytical skills to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Foster a culture of excellence by following up on Unapplied/Unidentified payments daily, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • IDentify refunds at time of application, streamlining the process and minimizing errors.
  • Handle Cash application requests from clients and other departments with professionalism and poise.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ year of experience in related roles, showcasing your ability to adapt to new challenges.
  • Possess assertive, proactive, and efficient traits, coupled with exceptional problem-solving and follow-up skills.
  • Take initiative, working independently while maintaining strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in Zoom, Microsoft, and Outlook.
  • Customer service oriented, with excellent attention to detail, highly organized, and able to multitask effectively.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in Cash Applications is required.
  • Experience with Excel spreadsheets is essential.

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location considerations. Please note that this figure may vary depending on individual factors, such as prior experience and qualifications.
