Olympus Corporation of the Americas is seeking a skilled Endoscope Technician to join our team. As a key member of our repair department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of our medical devices.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and Maintenance: Evaluate, troubleshoot, disassemble, assemble, and inspect endoscopes to meet company product standards and ensure full and proper functioning of the repaired product.
- Quality Control: Perform inspections and estimations of customer products received for repairs and troubleshooting, focusing on minor, major, refurbishment, and repairs of large/small (video) diameter endoscopes.
- Technical Training: Learn advanced repair processes on specific endoscope models, excluding Ultrasound and Small Fiber Diameter endoscopes.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete and maintain accurate service records both electronically and manually, while maintaining confidentiality of documents and processes.
- Workplace Safety: Ensure that safe work practices are employed by observing guidelines established and enforced by Olympus.
- Team Collaboration: May be required to rotate through different parts of the repair department to ensure proper understanding of the products and the different repairs and inspection techniques.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years experience in endoscope technical repairs required, preferably in the medical or health care industry. Minimum of one (1) year experience in inspection and estimation of endoscope repairs.
- Skills: Sufficient manual dexterity with small hand tools and experience with test equipment and hand soldering to make repairs and facilitate disassembly and reassembly.
